I usually suggest to my couples that their first look be private, but I always leave the decision up to them. On this day the bride's maid of honor was helping out with the dress. Once we set the bride into position and she was ready to see her groom, I let her know it would be ok if she watched if she sat close by, just out of view.
He walked in, and I captured the first moments of the groom seeing his beautiful bride for the first time on their wedding day. After a few minutes, I had forgotten about my silent bridesmaid and turned my attention towards her, to see what she was up to. At that same moment, the bride and groom started to practice their first dance, which I could see in the reflection in the window behind my quiet helper; which was confirmed by the bride's best friend, as a cute gasp of joy filled the otherwise peaceful courtyard as the couple danced.
