The weather at a destination can change the view you imagined. Talk with your planner and photographer about sheltered portrait locations and the indoor alternative before the weekend begins, so a change does not become a last-minute search.
Choose comfort before the photograph
Rain can offer reflections, movement, an umbrella, and a reason to stand closer. If conditions are safe and you want to step outside briefly, let your photographer find an opportunity. You are never obliged to leave a comfortable space for a picture, and lightning is a reason to remain sheltered.
With several days together, a separate portrait opportunity may also be possible if it fits the agreed coverage and your plans. It should be a choice, not a promise of perfect weather later. Let the photographs reflect a weekend you enjoyed living.
