See your destination reception before the doors open
Give yourselves—and your photographs—a moment with the setting your designer has created.
After planning a wedding from a distance, seeing the finished reception can be an emotional moment. Ask your planner, designer, and photographer whether you can enter the completed space briefly before the guests arrive.
Coordinate the reveal with the final preparations
Let the team agree when the room, tables, and lighting are ready. Include enough time for photographs of the design itself and a few of you within it. Avoid making this a competing demand while the venue is still completing essential work.
I love the way a couple brings a room into their own story. Take it in, walk together, or share a small dance if it feels natural. Then let the room fill with the people who will give it another kind of life.
